What is Pilates?

Pilates is a series of exercises that were designed by Joseph Pilates. The aim of the exercises are to develop the core strength, flexibility and mobility.

When are your Pilates classes held?

Saturdays 8.15am - 9.15am - Beginners

Saturdays 9.30am -10.30am - Improvers (suitable for those with some experience of Pilates) 

Saturdays 10.45am - 11.45pm - Mixed ability (suitable for beginners - intermediate)

Tuesdays 8.15am - 9.15am Beginners 

Tuesdays 9.30am -10.30am - Improvers (suitable for those with some experience of Pilates) 

Tuesdays 10.45am - 11.45am - Mixed ability (suitable for beginners - to intermediate) 

Thursdays 6pm -7pm - Beginners *New class starting Summer 2023* 

Thursdays 7.15pm - 8.15pm Beginners 

The timetable is constantly under review so contact me with your preference to days and times and whether it be face to face or online. 

How much are your Pilates classes?

1 hour Group classes - no more than 12 participants

Classes can be booked in blocks of 6 to be taken within 8 consecutive weeks for £48.

or £10 PAYG

Your first class will be £5 after the trial class your space in the class will be reserved for 48 hours. If you wish to sign up please pay the remaining £40 within this time.

1 to 1 or 1 to 2 online 30 minutes - £20

1 to 1 online or 1 to 2 online 1 hour - £35

Face to Face 1 to 1, or 1 to 2 - 1 hour Gateway Church £45

The studio is situated near Fareham station, a short walk from Aldi. 

Where can I park?


There is free parking at the venue subject to availability please contact me for more information. 

What should I expect from a class? 

A friendly and supportive atmosphere, detailed instruction with clear demonstrations and different variations, the class starts with a gentle warmup, progresses to floor based exercises and then a cool down, stretch and meditation at the end. 

How many people are in your Pilates classes in Fareham?

At full capacity each class has 11 participants and the teacher.  

Do we use equipment in your Pilates classes?

Yes, equipment will be provided for you, we all always use a mat, some positions you may find a block useful, we also use circles, bands, balls, small weights but t not all at the same time! :) 

What shall I wear?

Something you can move in, you can keep your socks on if you wish, something ideally where I can see your body line but so long as you are comfortable.

What shall I bring?

All equipment is provided but it is advised you bring a bottle of water and you may wish to bring a small towel. You are welcome to bring your own mat and equipment. 

Does it matter if I have not taken part in a Pilates before before? 

Not at all, the beginner Pilates classes are aimed at those who have not taken part in Pilates classes before, all exercises have modifications. If you have taken part in Pilates there are lots of variations to the exercises so you can challenge yourself. 

I am not very flexible does this matter? 

No, hopefully you will become more flexible! Wherever you can stretch to is where you should be stretching to on that day. 

How do I book? 

Please contact me to fill in a enrolment form, I will then issue you a link for payment to secure your spot.

How do I pay?

Once you have enrolled you will be sent a link to make payment. The payment goes through Stripe. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer please contact me for my bank details.

I am pregnant, are your classes suitable? 

This will depend on which trimester you are in, I have completed my pre and post natal qualification but particularly in the third trimester you would be better suited to a specialist pre natal class.
